The Story Behind Our Name

In math and science, delta stands for change. And X is the unknown variable, the thing you’re solving for. Here’s why we chose the name Delta X Resources.

People often ask me where the name Delta X Resources came from. Here’s the story.

In math and science, delta (Δ) stands for change. And X is the unknown variable, the thing you’re solving for.

In 25+ years of HR and operations, I’ve watched organizations go through every kind of change: new leaders, new systems, rapid growth, and now AI. What decides whether a change succeeds is rarely the change itself. It’s the variables underneath it. Are roles clear? Do people trust the direction? Does the process support the new way of working? Do the tools fit the people using them?

Those are the X’s, and they’re different in every organization. Our work is helping you find them and solve for them, with people at the center.

Delta has one more meaning for us. It brings to mind the elite teams that get called in for the biggest, toughest challenges. That’s the spirit we bring to every client. No challenge is too big or too small, and we’re always ready to take it on.

And “Resources”? That’s everything an organization already has to work with: its people, its processes, and its technology. Our job is to help them work together.

I’ve always loved the number three. There’s a completeness to it, and it’s no accident that the symbol for delta is a triangle. Three meanings in one name, and three things we help bring together: people, processes, and technology.

If your organization is facing a change and you’re not sure what the X is yet, I’d love to talk. Book a complimentary 30-minute consultation.

Getting Everyone on the Same Page

We’ve found that most disconnects in business stem from communication and expectations more than systems. That’s why training is such an important part of what we do.

Every Delta X training starts with top leadership. When leaders are bought in and their expectations are clear, everything else has a strong foundation.

From there, we work with each manager to define what “complete and optimal” looks like for their department. Then we train each team so day-to-day work meets those expectations, connecting leadership, management, and every department along the way.

No two organizations are the same, so every training is customized to your size, your needs, and the way each department works.

Rethinking How Work Gets Done

There’s never been a better time to rethink how work gets done. AI and automation can take on time-consuming tasks, and your people bring the skills, relationships, and experience that make your organization what it is. Integrated well, the two can help your team reach its full potential.

In one Harvard Business School and Boston Consulting Group study, professionals using AI on the right tasks worked 25% faster and produced more than 40% higher-quality work. The key? Knowing which tasks to hand to AI and which to keep with your people.

That’s what our Workforce Resources services are all about. We consult with companies to figure out where a human touch matters most and where AI can help. From there, we plan for people and technology together and put the right policies in place to protect your data and your people. We also help you identify where AI agents and automations could take repetitive work off your team’s plate. Plus, every package includes implementation trainings designed for each department and employee level, so everyone is set up to succeed.

Every organization is different, so everything we do is customized to your people, your goals, and the way your business runs.

If you’re thinking about what technology could do for your team in 2027, now is a great time to start that conversation. Book a complimentary 30-minute consultation.

A Practical, People-First Approach

With 25+ years of experience in HR and operations, including over a decade in leadership, I’ve learned that most organizations already have good people. The opportunity is in giving them clear roles, practical processes, and the right support when new tools are introduced.

That’s the work we do at Delta X Resources: bringing a practical, people-first approach to every organization.

We help organizations grow stronger across four areas:

  • People: HR leadership, recruiting, onboarding, and manager guidance
  • Operations: clear roles, SOPs, and workflows that grow with you
  • Systems: HR tools, reporting, and practical AI and automation adoption
  • Strategy: advisory support for founders and leaders shaping what’s next

We’re also introducing Workforce Resources. As the nature of work evolves, so does our approach. Workforce Resources expands the traditional people-focused model to consider the full range of human and technological resources available to an organization. We help you integrate those capabilities in ways that support your people, priorities, and goals.

Whether you have a defined project, need ongoing fractional leadership, or just want a sounding board for what’s next, I’d love to connect. Explore our services or book a complimentary 30-minute consultation.

Know a business owner or leader who could benefit from our services? Please send them our way. I’d truly appreciate it!
